I Love shoes. It doesn’t matter if they are 5 inches high or a pair of dank kicks….I want some Isabel’s on my feet. Isabel Marant brought sneakers to the runway. I am about to make the street my runway……

Who am I watching being interviewed during the NBA Finals post game interviews? Basketball players or the next indie rock band that touts the cliche’ “I am so hipster it hurts, that I need to wear faux glasses.”

I know you have noticed it too. Lebron, Wade, Westbrook, Urkle….ok Steve Urkle doesn’t play for the NBA. However it seems that these NBA players are all taking fashion advice from our favorite nerd in suspenders.

I have mixed feelings, ok no I don’t.  I hate it.

First of all why are they all jockin’ each others’ swag? Don’t they have any originality what so over, or are they all sponsored by the same “nerdy glass” company.

I can see it now a bunch of East Sider flannel shirt, levi’ wearing hipsters’ banded together to sponsor these NBA players to promote their oh so counter-culture lifestyle.

Maybe they should wear them during the game and get real prescriptions, maybe they would make some of those free throws. Better yet give them to the referees,  so they can see better and stop calling shady fouls.

Takes?

Neo-Gypsy?!?! I think so. As I sit here typing, and I think back to myself about my recent venture at Coachella. I can not help but think that there are so many people out there trying to be original yet at the same time that originality was repeated over and over again on every girl I saw.

High hiked waisted shorts, camel toe and all. Young barely legals naked wearing gogo dancer and maybe some stripper outfits in night desert storm.

Hey guys I am all for trends, but in my mind it should be at a minimum. Putting every trend in one outfit does not make you look like you are a celebrity in the gossip mags, it looks more like my mother trying to pull off the clothes that I wear. Just totally wrong.

Sometimes simplicity is way better. Trust me the older I get I look back at photos of myself and think oh lord what the hell possessed me to wear wide legged pants, oversized flannels and oh gasp the whole white t-shirt tucked in to boxers look.

Taking a much needed break I find myself online shopping, I love online shopping. Reviews, instant clicks, and well I do not have to brave the masses at the mall. I fumbled across this lil bobble. Still in trend, yet simple. I may layer one other thin necklace and a few rings…..but I will leave the high waisted, coochie showing, mid drift baring shirts to the folks I saw at Coachella.

  • What are the best new pieces of jewelry and accessories are a must have on your list for spring and summer?!?! Respond with pictures....and well yes def. comments!

Winter Kate Spring 2012 look book  heats up the desert with sheer new maxi and tribal prints.

Her look book is out and if you don’t already know Winter Kate is one of my favorite lines. She did it again with her smashing easy to where boho chic looks.

The visuals are phenomenal and every woman can find a piece in this collection, to bring that boho goddess that exist in all of us.

Pair these flowing fabric master pieces with a fitted leather jacket, to make that extra bold edgy modern statement.

The clothes are not he only things that catches the eye in these images.

Everything from the hair to make up , represents the effortless flawless look of what Spring should be.

Natural textured bayaloge highlighted hair, to the minimal flawless make up. Focusing on groomed yet un-tweezed brows, framing a sun kissed pallette on the face.

All I have to say is perfection.

It has been cold in Sunny California the last few days, and as a California girl parkas and down jackets don’t necessarily have a spot in my closet.

Layers is the best way to get around in the cold in Los Angeles. I just pack on the clothes and hope that the gods are with me to keep me warm.

I love everything about this look. It may be much for the average fashion consumer, but with my style personality I bounce around from eccentric to average jane with ease.

I’ve been rocking my leather jacket with a distressed vintage denim button up shirt ala 1980s levis or yes even jordash. Pair it with some dark skinny jeans and some fierce heels and I am off to bare the cold.

This picture is amazing though.I have to give her credit on her dare to wear attitude and she does it with such ease.

Not to mention the hair and makeup. It comes off as get up and go yet polished. Her ombre most likely bayolage style highlights and her natural make up, is a perfect match to her devilishly stylish outfit. Going simple with skin and hair, and going rocker status with your clothes is the perfect balance.

A+ to this girl.
